This year, the new sixth graders gave themselves a tour of the middle school library with QR codes. Using clues in the questions, they had to find the location of the QR code, scan it with a library iPod, and write down the answer. See the questions here. This succeeded in getting students to go everywhere in the library and observe their surroundings so they would know what is available to them. Due to staffing issues at the elementary school, these students have had very few library lessons for a few years, so this was a first step in the process of creating library lovers.
